What is an articulation agreement and how will it help me advance my education?

Miami Dade has created articulation agreements with more than 60 colleges and universities throughout the nation, including all of Florida's public four-year colleges and universities, as well as with 27 Independent Colleges and Universities of Florida (ICUF). Essentially, under an articulation agreement, A.A. recipients meeting the grade and course requirements of designated four-year schools are automatically accepted.

Many of our students go on to four-year institutions after earning their A.A. degree at Miami Dade. This is due to the fact that Miami Dade has created articulation agreements with more than 60 colleges and universities—all in an effort to ensure students can seamlessly advance to some of the best institutions in the nation. At Miami Dade, our incredible partnerships and agreements with four-year colleges and universities across the country can give you a distinct advantage.

Miami Dade has articulation agreements with all of Florida's public four-year universities (including UF and FSU), which guarantees your admission once you have earned the A.A. degree. MDC also has agreements with 27 Independent Colleges and Universities of Florida (ICUF).

In addition, MDC has articulation agreements with a host of out-of-state institutions, including Mount Holyoke College, the University of Wisconsin, Georgia Tech, Berklee College of Music in Boston, the University of Texas, Indiana University, Michigan State University, and Parsons School of Design in New York among many others.

We also offer transfer options for students seeking the Associate in Science (A.S.) degree, allowing them to go on to a Bachelor's degree program.
