MDC - NOVA partnership

Miami, July 23, 2012 - Miami Dade College (MDC) has entered a new partnership with the H. Wayne Huizenga School of Business and Entrepreneurship (Huizenga School) at NOVA Southeastern University to increase opportunities for its students who complete a Bachelor of Applied Science in Supervision and Management (BAS-SM) and want to pursue a graduate degree in business at NSU.

Through the partnership, MDC students and staff who graduate from the BAS-SM program will be eligible to complete a business master’s degree program at NSU with a discounted tuition rate of 25% less per credit hour. Some of the programs available include management, global management, leadership, and entrepreneurship, among many other concentrations.

The agreement will become official on September 1, 2012, at the start of the 2012-2013 academic year at both institutions.

MDC’s BAS-SM program is designed for students currently employed who need a bachelor’s degree to increase their career opportunities and wages. The BAS-SM currently has 1,892 students enrolled and another 2,163 pre-admitted in the program.
