Halth Foundation

Miami, July 5, 2012 - Miami Dade College’s (MDC) Foundation recently announced it has received a $120,000 grant from the Health Foundation of South Florida to support the Medical Campus’ Dental Hygiene Program. The grant money will help to equip an entire clinical suite with new, state-of-the-art dental chairs, complete with networking capabilities for electronic medical records, chair-side data entry capabilities and a monitor for patients to view images and receive dental care education.

“The community and our students will be the primary beneficiaries of this wonderful gift,” said Medical Campus President Dr. Armando Ferrer. “The new chairs will help ensure that students are trained on the use of industry standard equipment. The technology will also contribute to improved efficiencies and patient care.”
