Miami Dade College to Host a Conversation with Cuban Dissident Eliecer Avila May 16


Miami, May 15, 2013 - Miami Dade College’s (MDC) Department of Arts and Philosophy will host a conversation with Cuban dissident Eliecer Avila at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, May 16, at the Wolfson Campus. The event is free and open to the public.

Avila became famous five years ago when he posted a video on YouTube asking then-president of the National Assembly Ricardo Alarcón series of challenging questions about the Cuban economy and the travel restrictions Cubans face.

The event is in Spanish. Free parking is available at the MDC parking garage (Building 7).
