Miami Dade College Introduces New Executive Bachelor of Applied Science courses in Supervision and Management
Miami, July 31, 2013 -
Busy, working professionals will soon have the opportunity to complete their degree during evening and weekend sessions. Starting this fall, Miami Dade College (MDC) will introduce the new Executive
Bachelor of Applied Science (EBAS) courses in Supervision and Management. The EBAS accelerated classes will complement the existing BAS-SM courses and can be completed within 4 to 8 weeks.
The BAS-SM program is designed for students who want to enhance their knowledge or are currently working and require a degree to advance their careers. EBAS courses will include business ethics (MAN 3065), principles of marketing (MAR 1011), leadership challenges and supervision (MAN 4120), and strategic-management decision-making (MAN 4720), among others. The classes will be offered at night and during the weekends (Friday, Saturdays, and Sundays) in a virtual-blended format (combination of face-to-face and online sessions) or a web-enhanced format, with some coursework completed online. The EBAS-courses will be available at the Kendall, North, and Wolfson Campuses.
Students seeking a degree in Supervision and Management can pursue a series of career paths. They include administrative-service managers whose starting salary wage is $44,000 a year, training and development managers who can begin making $50,000 yearly, industrial and sales managers whose starting salaries are upwards of $52,000, and marketing managers who can start making $62,000 annually.
