Tuyo Rolls Out New Orleans-Inspired Menu for Miami Spice
Miami, July 9, 2013 -
Miami Dade College's (MDC) acclaimed rooftop restaurant, Tuyo, will once again participate in Miami Spice, an annual program showcasing Miami's best cuisine. The special promotion is $39 per person (not including beverage, tax or gratuity), and is available from 6-10 p.m. Tuesdays-Saturdays from August 1 through September 30.
Miami Spice offers specially-priced, three-course meals. Tuyo's tantalizing New Orleans-inspired menu, created by award-winning Chef Norman Van Aken, includes Oyster Po' Boy with Crystal Hot Sauce Mignonette, Worcestershire Braised Beef Brisket on Petite Filet Mignon with Boulangere Potatoes, Bananas Foster Bread Pudding, and more!
During Miami Spice, Tuyo will rotate the menu to feature the cuisine of three "Great American Cities," starting with New Orleans. Updates will be posted online at Tuyo's website: www.tuyomiami.com.
"We are starting off with what is, in my opinion, the first truly great city epitomizing the dramatic character of a truly and unique sense of American cuisine," said Chef Van Aken, MDC Miami Culinary Institute director of restaurants.
