Miami Dade College’s Wolfson Campus Hosted Author and Top Foreign Policy Expert Dr. Daniel Markey


Miami, November 14, 2013 - Top foreign policy expert Dr. Daniel Markey addressed Miami Dade College (MDC) students on Wednesday, Nov. 13 at the Wolfson Campus in downtown Miami.  

Dr. Markey is a noted author and currently a Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) senior fellow for India, Pakistan, and South Asia. His books include the September 2011 CFR Asia Security Memorandum, Pakistan Contingencies and his most recent work No Exit from Pakistan: America’s Tortured Relationship with Islamabad. 

From 2003 to 2007, Dr. Markey held the South Asia portfolio for the U.S. Secretary of State’s policy planning staff at the U.S. Department of State. Prior to government service, he taught in the politics department at Princeton University and was executive director of Princeton’s research program in international security. Dr. Markey recently served as project director of the CFR-sponsored Independent Task Force on U.S. Strategy in Pakistan and Afghanistan.
