Miami Dade College to Honor Top Leaders in Major Fields at 2014 Alumni Hall of Fame Gala on April 22

Miami, February 26, 2014 - Miami Dade College (MDC) is gearing up for one of its most cherished traditions, the opportunity to recognize distinguished alumni making a difference in the community and beyond at the 2014 Alumni Hall of Fame Awards Gala,which will take place at 6 p.m., Tuesday, April 22, at the J.W. Marriott Marquis in downtown Miami.

This year’s inductees represent a variety of industries including - business, health care, visual arts, journalism, sports, law, and public service. They will join the ranks of MDC Hall of Famers actor Andy Garcia, music industry mogul Emilio Estefan, Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Nilo Cruz, former Dolphins receiver Nat Moore, Carnival Chairman & CEO Micky Arison and U.S. Congresswoman Ileana Ros Lehtinen, among many others.

MDC’s annual Hall of Fame Gala will benefit the Alumni Scholarship Fund, a prime source of scholarship funding and support for MDC students.
