Miami Dade College’s Kendall Campus Celebrates Spring with its Annual Spring Fling Carnival and Egg Hunt Eggstravaganza


Miami, January 31, 2014 - Spring is in the air, and Miami Dade College’s (MDC) Kendall Campus is celebrating with its 2014 Annual Spring Fling Carnival from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, March 1. The community is invited to enjoy the fun-filled festivities, bursting with children’s activities, food vendors, clowns, rides, inflatables, slides, and the new Go Gator roller coaster! Spring Fling will be held on the Campus’ track field. Admission is $1 per person. Proceeds benefit the MDC Kendall Student United Way campaign.

The carnival will feature costumed characters, an arts and crafts tent, science tent, reading corner, and a main stage with children’s dance performances, kids fitness classes, and local school bands.  There will also be an appearance by the Miami Heat dancers.

Kendall’s Egg Hunt Eggstravaganza is back as well, where children 11 and under can hunt in a field of 6,000 colored eggs! The Egg Hunt features two sessions for various age groups: ages 5 and younger at 10:30 a.m. and ages 6 - 11 at 11:15 a.m. Both Egg Hunts will take place at the field next to the Carnival entrance.
