Miami, February 19, 2014 - Miami Dade College’s (MDC) Homestead Campus will host a dynamic Women’s Business Expo honoring women in business at 11:00 a.m., March 26. The Expo, which features an array of South Florida’s most accomplished female leaders, is free and open to the public.

The Women’s Business Expo, which will take place during Women’s History Month, will feature products, services and presentations that aim to provide education, entertainment and empowerment. The Expo will consist of more than 15 women-owned and women-focused businesses in the South Dade area.

“This is a great way to give the students and the public an opportunity to be exposed to women entrepreneurs and be inspired by these exceptional leaders,” said Susana Vela, director of continuing education and professional development at the campus. “This Expo is not only for the vendors to promote but also to reach out and interact with the students and share stories of how they got their businesses off the ground and accomplished their dream.”

The Expo’s diverse exhibitors will showcase everything from jewelry, cosmetics, fashion, hair care, beauty products, health and fitness products, as well as business products, home accessories, public safety tips and much more.

Women’s Business Expo exhibitors will include:

Cosio Financial Services/New York Life – Services cover all areas of financial management, from investment and retirement planning to risk management and estate conservation. They specialize in helping clients develop a comprehensive, cohesive financial strategy that fits their unique needs and enables them to meet both short- and long-term objectives.
