The National Historic Landmark Freedom Tower at Miami Dade College to be Illuminated in Miami Dolphins Aqua and Orange in Sept. to Kick Off the Season!

Special Dolphins Illumination will take place on the evenings of Sept. 3-6 and 19 & 20, illumination ceremony with former Dolphins greats and mascot evening of Sept. 4.

The Idea Center @ Miami Dade College Kicks Off Speaker Series Sept. 17

The Idea Center at Miami Dade College (MDC), a new entrepreneurship hub that serves as a co-curricular engine of innovation and idea development for all MDC students across all College disciplines, will host a speakers series that brings game-changers from various industries to share their trials and triumphs. The first Pioneers @ MDC lecture will feature Juan Diego Calle, a titan in marketing and the internet domain, at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 17. This event is free and open to the public.

The Center for Latin American and Caribbean Initiatives at Miami Dade College to Host Virtuoso Hernan Gamboa Sept. 19

As part of Hispanic Heritage Month, the Center for Latin American and Caribbean Initiatives (CLACI) at Miami Dade College (MDC) will host a concert by renowned Venezuelan musician Hernan Gamboa, a virtuoso at playing the cuatro, a four-string guitar that is popular in Venezuela, Colombia, Puerto Rico, and other countries throughout Latin America. The concert, Un sentimiento por Venezuela, will take place at 7 p.m., Friday, September 19, at MDC’s Wolfson Campus.

Miami Dade College Wolfson Campus to Host Third Reconciliation and Change Conference Sept. 26

The Center for Latin American and Caribbean Initiatives (CLACI) at Miami Dade College (MDC) will host the third edition of the Reconciliation and Change conference series, organized annually by the Cuba Study Group, starting at 8:30 a.m., Friday, Sept. 26, at the Wolfson Campus in downtown Miami. This event is free and open to the public (registration required).
