Miami Dade College’s (MDC) MDC Live Arts and Miami-Dade County Auditorium present RUBBERBANDance Group at 8 p.m. Saturday, May 2, at Miami-Dade County Auditorium’s “On Stage Black Box” theater. The Montreal-based dance company will perform Empirical Quotient, a work that explores human relationships—situations of dependence, rejection, empathy, and acceptance—woven together in a complex display of athleticism and precision. Led by the remarkable duo of Victor Quijada and Anne Plamondon, the group features six exceptional performers whose backgrounds range from classical, contemporary, and urban dance to circus arts.

Miami Dade College’s (MDC) Museum of Art + Design (MOA+D) presents its latest swing/SPACE/miami project with an exhibition by Miami-based artist Michael Vasquez. Vasquez, an alumni of New World School of the Arts, presents a new installation and project titled Neighborhood Reclamation, a series of interspersed canvases that range in form and size. The figurative artist paints the typical trappings of an underserved community. A Director’s Preview will be held on Thursday, May 28th 2015 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at MOA+D located within the College’s Historic Freedom Tower. The preview is FREE and open to the public. The exhibition will be on view beginning Friday, May 29th through July 12th, 2015. The exhibition and supporting programs are FREE and open the public.

A Director’s Preview – $5 for general public and free for museum members, invited guests and MDC/NWSA students – will be held Thursday, May 28, from 6 - 8 p.m. at MOAD located within the College’s Historic Freedom Tower. The exhibition will be free and open to the public May 29 through August 16.
