Miami Dade College Men's Basketball has improved to 4-4 in the Southern Conference and 18-8 overall.
Despite injuries, the team fought hard during conference play to keep up with the competition and remains determined to make the NJCAA Region 8/FCSAA State Championship tournament this season.
In order for the Sharks to qualify for the FCSAA State tournament, they will have to place in the top-two of the conference. As of right now, the Sharks are ranked third in the Southern Conference, but with match-ups against every conference opponent still ahead of them, the team has a shot at a tournament spot.
The Sharks are ranked fourth in the NJCAA for three-point shots made per game and 20th in assists per game.
The Sharks have two away games coming up against Indian River State College and Eastern Florida State College. Both games will be crucial for the Sharks as they try to qualify for the state tournament in March. The team will play their next home game on February 19th against Broward at 7:30 p.m.
