Artistry in Rhythm (A.I.R.) Dance Conference
The Artistry in Rhythm: Engaging the Community (A.I.R.) Dance conference presents a wonderful opportunity to learn from various instructors, choreographers and dancers from a global perspective. The conference offers a wide variety of master classes, presentations, lectures/demonstrations and performances.
A.I.R. is a scholarly dance conference that seeks to explore the significance of community engagement through the vernacular of dance, encourage community growth and development, and enhance professional development within an academic setting. We are extremely excited to introduce new classes into our conference like worship through dance and liturgical.
The Miami Dade College (MDC) Kendall Campus Dance program and the MDC Jubilation Dance Ensemble anticipate an enthusiastic response to our Annual Dance Conference and cordially inform you that space is limited. A.I.R. will register participants on a first-paid, first-registered basis and once maximum capacity is reached, A.I.R. will be unable to accept additional participants. Please plan to register and pay early, as you experience the human phenomena of dance through education, culture and community engagement, as well as enjoy great performances by artists within our community.
Classes Offered: Contemporary Ballet, Contemporary Modern Dance, Funk, Improvisation, Acting for Dancers, Audition Skills, Dance Composition, Somatic Movement forms, Yoga, Hip-hop, Afro-Haitian, Samba, 2nd Line and Afro-Fusion.
