Overview
What is Veterans Upward Bound?
The Veterans Upward Bound (VUB) is a federally
funded program, designed to assist low income first generation military veterans
return to school to refresh their math, reading and writing skills so that they
can enter a college of their choice to participate in the post -secondary process.
How does a veteran enter the Program
A veteran must provide the following in order to
be accepted into the program:

Fill out a VUB application form

Provide evidence of veterans status (DD214), 2 forms of ID and proof
of income (1040/W2) Residence / Citizenship

Must have served more than 180 days of continuous active
duty in the U.S. armed forces.

Must have a discharge other than dishonorable.

All medically discharged veterans are qualified
-
Take the College Placement Test (CPT) or PASS to establish
academic need
