Hialeah Campus - Dr. Norma Martin Goonen

Dr Norma GoonenDr. Norma Martin Goonen is the President of Miami Dade College’s Hialeah Campus. Previously, she served as MDC’s Provost for Academic and Student Affairs. Prior to arriving at MDC, Dr. Goonen was Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences at Nova Southeastern University, Vice President for Academic Affairs at St. Thomas University, and Associate Dean of Undergraduate Studies at Florida International University. She holds a Doctorate in Educational Leadership (Higher Education) from the University of Florida.

Homestead Campus - Dr. Jeanne F. Jacobs

Dr. Jeanne JacobsDr. Jeanne F. Jacobs is the President of Miami Dade College’s Homestead Campus, located in the downtown business district of the City of Homestead. Dr. Jacobs came to MDC from Sinclair Community College in Ohio, where she served as Vice President for Instruction and Dean of Liberal Arts and Sciences. She holds a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Administration of Higher Education with a minor in English from the University of Alabama.

InterAmerican Campus - Dr. Gina Cortés-Suárez

Dr. Gina Cortés-SuárezDr. Gina Cortés-Suárez is the President of Miami Dade College’s InterAmerican Campus, located in historic Little Havana. She has nearly three decades of service at MDC, including as a member of the faculty and as Associate Provost for faculty initiatives. Dr. Cortés-Suárez holds a Doctorate in Higher Education Administration from Florida International University.

Kendall Campus - Dr. Armando Ferrer

Dr. Armando Ferrer

Dr. Armando J. Ferrer is the President of Miami Dade College’s Kendall Campus. Dr. Ferrer has served MDC for more than 30 years in various capacities, including Dean of Students at North and Kendall campuses. He holds a Doctorate in Higher Education from the University of Miami.

Medical Center Campus - Dr. Anita S. Kaplan

Dr. Anita S. KaplanDr. Anita Kaplan is the President of Miami Dade College’s Medical Center Campus, located in the heart of Miami’s medical district and offering additional classes and programs in hospitals and at the Homestead Campus. Dr. Kaplan holds a Doctorate in Higher Education Policy and Administration from the University of Massachusetts and most recently was an Executive Vice President at Erie Community College in New York.

North Campus - Dr. José A. Vicente

Dr. José A. VicenteDr. José A. Vicente is the President of Miami Dade College’s North Campus, the College’s first location that opened in 1960. Dr. Vicente has served MDC in various capacities since 1973, including as founding President of the InterAmerican Campus. He holds an Ed.D. in Higher Education Administration from Nova Southeastern University and he has engaged in post-doctoral studies at Harvard University and at the JFK School of Government.

West Campus - Dr. Toni Bilbao

Dr. Toni BilbaoDr. Maria A. “Toni” Bilbao is the Executive Director of Miami Dade College’s West Campus, located in the City of Doral. She was the Associate Provost of Student Services before the West Campus opened in 2006. Dr. Bilbao received her Doctorate in Adult Education and Human Resource Development from Florida International University.

Wolfson Campus - Dr. Mercedes Quiroga

Dr. Mercedes QuirogaDr. Mercedes Quiroga is the president of Miami Dade College’s Wolfson Campus in downtown Miami. Her service at MDC has spanned over 20 years in roles including Provost and CEO of New World School of the Arts and Wolfson Campus Chairperson of the Department of Arts and Philosophy. Dr. Quiroga holds a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership from the University of Miami.
