Miami International Festival of the Arts 2017

The Miami International Festival of the Arts 2017 (MIFA) gets underway this year with a vast array of scheduled theater performances, art exhibitions, panel discussions and film screenings taking place at the North Campus and the Carrie P. Meek Entrepreneurial Center and will run from March 27-31. The Opening Ceremony, scheduled for March 27th from 11:15 to 12:00 noon at the Lehman Studio Theater, will feature the North Campus vocal groups, under the direction of Carol Ann Steele, take us on a musical journey back to the time of peace, love, and rock and roll with the best folk and pop music of the 20’s, 30's and 40’s.North Campus Chamber Singers and Musical Theatre Ensemble with the presentation of We Will Rock You-Classic Hits.This theatrical performance is a great way to introduce students to America’s musical theatre, renowned around the world for its extraordinary music and technical stage dynamics. Oftentimes, attending events such as the Opening Ceremony of the Miami International Festival of the Arts whets the student’s appetite for pursuing an academic and professional career in the entertainment arts here in South Florida. This is one event that you would not want to miss!
