New! MDC Small Local Business Enterprise Initiative

Small Business Workshop

Miami, March 16, 2010 - Miami Dade College strategic goal is to partner with the community, and foster economic growth and development of small and local businesses.  With this goal in mind, the College has adopted and approved the a new initiative to encourage small and local businesses in the College contracting process. The major emphasis will be placed on locally based businesses that are certified by Miami-Dade County Government, Small Business Development Office or the State of Florida’s Office of Supplier Diversity. The College, in its discretions and based on the nature of the service to be provided, shall either award preference points, require mandatory subcontracting or designate sheltered market contracts for certified Small Local Business Enterprises.
