• Miami Dade College Minority Business Policy
• Small Local Business Initiatve Policy 06-VI-4
• The newly adopted policy will offer incentives, such as sheltered Market Contracts, (Set Asides), Mandatory Subcontracting and Preference Points for Request for Proposals and Quotes.  The major emphasis will be placed on locally based businesses that are certified by Miami-Dade County Government, Small Business Development Office or the  State of Florida's Office of Supplier Diversity.  Please check our website in the near future for more information.
• Small Local Business Enterprises Initiative Incentives Procedure 6550

Criteria for becoming a certified small business enterprise with Miami-Dade County are:

1)  Have the proper occupational business license(s) from the county to provide those goods and/or services.

2)  Have an actual place of business in Miami-Dade County or, if the principal place of business is not located in Miami-Dade County, then 51% of the majority owners must reside in Miami-Dade County.

3)  Perform a commercially useful function.
