MDC's Summer Sports Camps Promote Health and Fitness

Summer Sports Camp

Miami, June 5, 2008 - This summer, children and teens can have fun while burning calories at Miami Dade College’s (MDC) Sports Camps. Registration fee includes instruction, t-shirts and prizes. MDC employees are eligible for a discounted rate. Learn more about the sports camps below:  

Summer Volleyball Camp (Girls Ages 10 – 18)
Daily instruction includes emphasis on individual volleyball skills with a focus on the fundamentals of setting, passing, serving, hitting, blocking, and floor defense.  Camp also covers fundamentals of team play-offense, defense, and complete team training. MDC employees receive a $15 discount on week 1 and a $30 discount on week 2.
First session: Monday, June 30, - Thursday, July 3
Second session: Monday, July 7, - Friday, July 11
9am to 4pm
Kendall Campus, 11011 S.W. 104 St.
Week 1: $145
Week 2: $180

Softball Camp (Boys/Girls Ages 10 -18)
This softball clinic incorporates pitching, offense and defense. Evaluation, Instruction, T-Shirts, and Prizes included. MDC employees receive a $25 discount for their children.
Monday, June 9 – Friday, June 13
9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Kendall Campus, softball field
$150 for the week
