MDC InterAmerican Campus President Appointed to the Children's Trust Board of Directors

Miami, January 23, 2009 - Miami Dade College’s (MDC) InterAmerican Campus president, Dr. Gina Cortés-Suárez, has been appointed to The Children’s Trust Board of Directors. A former elementary school teacher for the Miami-Dade County Public School District, Dr. Cortés-Suárez has held key positions at MDC for nearly three decades.

Prior to becoming campus president, she served as the college’s associate provost for faculty initiatives. Dr. Cortés-Suárez accomplishments in higher education have made her a sought-after candidate for a variety of community projects for several years.    

“I am extremely proud and honored to be a part of The Children’s Trust Board of Directors,” said Dr. Cortés-Suárez. This is a wonderful organization that advocates and supports the children of our community.”
