Miami Dade College Fall Classes Begin on Aug. 24!
Miami, August 20, 2009 -
After a brief break following the summer term, students, faculty and staff return to Miami Dade College (MDC) for the start of the 2009 fall semester and new academic year on Monday, Aug. 24. With nearly 300 major areas of study, eight campuses, a major outreach center and other sites, and a growing Virtual College, MDC is the first step toward a prosperous future.
In addition to hundreds of degree programs and learning opportunities available to all in the community, MDC will once again present its beloved Miami Book Fair International and star-studded Miami International Film Festival, among many other cultural events this academic year. This school year also marks the College’s 50th Anniversary. Check the MDC website regularly to learn more about College news and upcoming events.
Students can still register, pay for classes, check course availability, print schedules, and more at www.mdc.edu. On-line service is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. A $20 non-refundable fee is charged for processing first-time applications. Late registration, Aug. 24 – 28, incurs a $50 late fee. Classes are filling quickly, so please register early.
In fact, since MDC’s budget reductions have prevented it from adding more class sections, nearly 2,500 class sections have already filled with overall enrollment tracking nearly ten percent over last year.
For more information, or to register, please call 305- 237-8888 or visit www.mdc.edu.
