Miami Dade College Names New Director of Acclaimed Eig-Watson School of Aviation
Diana Lewis will begin her new position as director of the Eig-Watson School of Aviation at the Homestead Campus on April 1, 2010.

Miami Dade College (MDC) has named veteran airport manager Diana Lewis as director of the Eig-Watson School of Aviation at the Homestead Campus.
As the former director of the St. Lucie County International Airport, Lewis brings extensive experience in aviation administration that includes airport planning, development, executive management, and faculty instruction.
She will begin her new position at MDC on April 1, 2010.
Lewis once served as the director of planning and development/airport planner at the Broward County Aviation Department, and as the senior analyst and development officer at San Jose International Airport in California. She has also worked as a college professor.
With state-of-the-art facilities and an industry grade curriculum, the Eig-Watson School of Aviation is one of only a handful of FAA approved schools authorized to offer a special training program for air traffic controllers.
The school offers associate degrees, professional certifications, and noncredit courses in a variety of vocational areas including aviation administration, aviation maintenance management, and professional pilot technology.
Classes are held at the Homestead Campus Aviation Training Center, Kendall-Tamiami Airport and Miami International Airport.
