Miami Dade College Receives Scholarship Funds from the Florence Bayuk Educational Trust

Miami, April 26, 2011 - Sun Trust Bank Senior Vice President Steve Leth recently presented Miami Dade College (MDC) Board of Trustees with a check for more than $53,000 to establish a scholarship fund on behalf of the Florence Bayuk Education Trust.

“I’m proud to be here to present this check because I am a Miami Dade College graduate, and I have seen the transformation and advances the college has made over the years,” Leth said.

Founded by Florence Bayuk, a former British nurse, the scholarship aims to support institutions offering four-year programs that advance law, medicine and economics education.
