MDC’s Acclaimed Teatro Prometeo to Hold Auditions for Professional Three-Year Program
Miami, June 7, 2011 - TeatroPrometeo, the dramatic arts component of the Florida Center for the Literary Arts at Miami Dade College (MDC), will host auditions for its competitive Three-Year Professional Training Program in the Performing Arts on Thursday, June 16, by appointment only.
This program is for actors interested in preparing for a career in theatre and/or film. This is a six-semester commitment that includes professional workshops, staged readings, internships, classes in acting, voice, movement, and theatre history with the leading international professionals in the industry.
In addition, students selected for the program will join Prometeo’s student theatre company, which has toured around the world and received international acclaim.
Students auditioning should be prepared to present a one-minute monologue of their choice in Spanish. Applications are available online at www.prometeotheatre.com. There is a $15 non-refundable registration fee.
Teatro Prometeo offers the country’s only institutional Spanish-language conservatory-style actor training program.
