Dr. Medina will be spending three weeks during the months of July and August at Universidad APEC in the Dominican Republic, where she will present lectures on language acquisition theories, conduct workshops on second language learning methodology, and consult with administrators and faculty on the faculty evaluation process.
Universidad APEC, a private university located in the city of Santo Domingo, has one of the best language programs in the nation, with courses taught in six different centers throughout the city of Santo Domingo and other parts of the country. Dr. Medina's visit will play a significant role in the area of faculty development, which is part of the objectives in the University's strategic plan.
