MDC’s 2012 Spring Registration Underway!
Miami, October 20, 2011 -
Registration for Miami Dade College’s ( MDC) 2012 Spring Semester has begun, with classes starting Jan. 4, 2012. From several new bachelor’s degrees to the new Miami Culinary Institute, MDC has the programs to jumpstart your career or put you on the fast-track to an in-demand job.
This term, MDC will continue its Priority Registration initiative, which allows targeted students to register as early as Oct. 17. The new Priority Registration system will give students who may need specific courses to graduate a better opportunity to complete their requirements.
In particular, students admitted to limited access programs and selective admission programs, working on bachelor’s degrees, those who have applied for graduation, veteran students, School for Advanced Studies students, and degree-seeking students with 45 credits or greater will be able to register as of Oct. 17.
Degree-seeking students with 30 credits or more can register starting Oct. 18. Registration begins on Oct. 19 for students with 15 credits or more, as well as new and returning degree-seeking and those enrolled in certificate programs. All others – including non-degree seeking, non-credit, transient, and High School Dual Enrollment/Early Admission – may register as of Oct. 20.
Plus, the college has accelerated degree options blending classroom and online courses allowing students to complete an Associate in Arts in business administration or an Associate in Science in computer information technology in just one year. And these are just a few of the exciting opportunities that await you.
With more than 300 major areas of study, seven campuses, two centers and other sites, and a growing Virtual College, MDC is the first step toward a prosperous future.
Students can register, pay for classes, check course availability, print schedules, and more at www.mdc.edu. On-line service is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Classes are filling quickly, so please register early. MDC officials again encourage students to register early to get the courses and course schedules they need. Any delays in registration could keep them from obtaining and completing classes they need to finish their studies in a timely manner.
