The 28th Miami Book Fair International is Calling All Sleep-Deprived Parents!
Miami, October 31, 2011 - Get a sitter and come out for a night of laughter and commiseration with fellow parents at 6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 18, courtesy of author Adam Mansbach and illustrator Ricardo Cortes’ New York Times bestseller, Go the F**k to Sleep. Celebrity guests include actor Jenna Elfman, and singer/songwriter Nikka Costa, who will share their story of making the book-inspired rap video that’s become a YouTube hit.
This Evening With event is a component of the 28th edition of the Miami Book Fair International (MBFI), presented by Miami Dade College’s The Center @ MDC.
Profane, affectionate and radically honest, Go the F**k to Sleep has touched a nerve and become a controversial cultural phenomenon. Mansbach and Cortes will talk about the real story behind the story of putting your little angel down for the night.
Terrible-Twos combo packages are available for $30 in conjunction with the book presentation. They include one admission ticket, and a voucher for two drinks and an appetizer at area restaurants, such as Tuyo, Jimmy’z Kitchen, El Sitio, The Local, and others.
All Evening With presentations are held in the Chapman Conference Center (Bldg. 3, second floor) at the Wolfson Campus, 300 N.E. Second Ave. Tickets for each session are $10 and must be purchased in advance. To purchase tickets, visit www.miamibookfair.com. The Fair will take place November 13 - 20, 2011, at the college’s Wolfson Campus in downtown Miami. Free parking is available in the Building 7 garage (500 N.E. Second Ave). The popular Street Fair runs Friday, November 18 through Sunday, November 20, featuring more than 200 exhibitors from around the country. This year, the Fair will celebrate the literature and culture of China.
