Miami Dade College’s Volleyball Team Wins State Title and Advances to Nationals

Miami, November 9, 2011 - Miami Dade College’s (MDC) women’s volleyball team, the Lady Sharks, recently won the National Junior College Athletic Association’s (NJCAA) Atlantic District Championship and State Championship, and are now moving on to compete for the national title on Nov. 17 – 19 at Missouri State University – West Plains.  

The Lady Sharks climbed the ranks, first winning district by defeating Polk State with a score of 25-16, 25-23, 25-15. In the state competition, MDC beat the College of Central Florida 25-20, 25-23, 25-23.
