Let Tuyo Be Yours This Valentine’s Day with Prix-Fixe Menu by Award-Winning Chef Norman Van Aken
Miami, January 30, 2012 - In honor of Valentine’s Day, Tuyo, the crown-jewel restaurant at Miami Dade College’s new Miami Culinary Institute, will offer a romantic prix-fixe menu prepared by award-winning Chef Norman Van Aken. The menu features an elaborate three-course meal, including an optional course of French toast with Curacao-scented foie gras, and the choice of three desserts.
Other featured dishes on the special Valentine’s Day menu include creamy cracked conch chowder with saffron, yuca-stuffed Gulf shrimp with sour orange mojo, and Lake Meadow chicken mofongo with black beans.
While dining, guests will enjoy breathtaking views and live entertainment for just $85 per person. Tax and gratuity are not included. Seating is available at 6 p.m. and reservations are required.
Chef Van Aken’s repertoire owes its richness to the incredible diversity of his sources. His recipes span more than 33 countries, from the heavily African-influenced Cuba, Puerto Rico and the Caribbean Islands to the more European-influenced cuisines of Argentina, Brazil, Peru, and Chile to the distinct flavors of Mexico and Central America. In addition to painting a culinary map of the region, including something from almost every country, Chef Van Aken combines flavors and traditions, creating the fusion cuisine for which he is famous.
Reserve now for a memorable evening with your special someone!
