Miami Dade College InterAmerican Campus to Hold First TRIO Educational Opportunities Summer Fair

Miami, August 3, 2012 - The Miami Dade College (MDC) InterAmerican Campus and TRIO Educational Opportunity Centers (TRIO EOC) will be hosting their first Educational Opportunities Fair, where participants can explore postsecondary programs and financial aid opportunities. This event will be held at 10 a.m.Saturday, August 11, and is free and open to the community.

The Educational Opportunities Fair will give all prospective students the opportunity to meet postsecondary program representatives as well as community service agencies. The event will provide participants with information about educational opportunities, planning and assistance in completing applications for admission, and financial aid and scholarships for low-income/first-generation individuals.

TRIO EOC is a U.S. Department of Education Program that provides free services to low-income adults and potential first-generation college students. Students must be at least 19 years old to participate.
