MDC’s Homestead Campus Presents Unique Nutcracker Performance
Miami, November 28, 2012 -
Miami Dade College’s(MDC) Homestead Campus will present a one-of-a-kind production of The Nutcracker free and open to the entire community at 7 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 8.
A departure from the classic, timeless ballet, this version of The Nutcracker will feature a combination of four dancers, three actors and a string quartet. Homestead Campus Student Life will sponsor the event by making a donation to What If Works Inc.
“We are very pleased to host this unique performance of The Nutcracker on our campus this holiday season and support a worthwhile non-profit organization that provides educational opportunities through the arts,” said Dr. Jeanne Jacobs, president of the Homestead Campus.
What if Worksis a Florida non-profit organization that provides post-graduates the opportunity to work creatively in the fields of theater, film and music.
