Miami Dade College’s Jazz at Wolfson Presents Guitarist Randy Bernsen


Miami, March 25, 2013 - Miami Dade College ’s (MDC) Arts and Philosophy department continues its successful Jazz at Wolfson Presents series with jazz guitarist Randy Bersen at noon on Wednesday, April 10, featuring guitarist Randy Bersen.

Bernsen is a composer, producer and performer who has played for audiences throughout the U.S., Europe, Asia, and Africa. He brings with him an exciting sound and musical message uniquely suited to South Florida, which he helped develop along with other Floridians including the late Jaco Pastorius and jazz legend Ira Sullivan.

Bernsen’s discography includes five self-produced albums. In addition, he has recorded three albums for MCA/Zebra featuring Pastorius, Herbie Hancock, Marcus Miller, Toots Thielemans, John Medeski and others. Bernsen also spent two years with Weather Report maestro Joe Zawinul developing his guitar synthesizer and composition skills.

MDC’s Jazz at Wolfson Presents features live performances that run monthly from September through April. The concerts are free and open to the public.
