Inaugural Noche de Amigos Awards Miami Dade College Wolfson Campus President Dr. José A. Vicente

Miami, December 5, 2013 - Miami Dade College (MDC) Wolfson Campus President Dr. José A. Vicente was recently honored at the inaugural Noche de Amigos (Night of Friends), presented by Lesesne Media Group Entertainment (LMG) during the Miami International Auto Show, the first major event of the national auto show season in the U.S., held in Miami Beach.

“I am proud to be recognized among such an esteemed group of community leaders at the first-ever Noche de Amigos,” said Dr. Vicente.    

Noche de Amigos recognizes and celebrates LMG Entertainment supporters, advocates and allies who are making a positive impact in their respective communities. Other award recipients included Ramiro Ortiz, CEO History Miami Museum; Carluka Suarez, actor/activist and Ana M. Viamonte Ros, M.D., MPH, director of Medical Staff Development for Baptist Health International. Honorees also included Omar Caraballo, actor and producer; Jairo Velasquez, photojournalist and Daniel Ojeda, actor and business executive. Ford was recognized as the 2013 event sponsor. 

“We were proud to honor and celebrate these leaders in business, education, health, art and entertainment within our network of Hispanic supporters,” said Woodie Lesesne, founder of Noche de Amigos and President/CEO of LMG Entertainment. “Noche de Amigos celebrates those in our community who embraced us and helped us become a part of this dynamic community for nearly two decades.”
