MDC’s Renowned Miami Culinary Institute Featured Live on NBC’s Today Show
NBC’s Kerry Sanders poses with Chef Collen Engle and his Velveeta dip
Miami, January 8, 2014 -
NBC's Today Show did a live segment today from Miami Dade College’s (MDC) acclaimed Miami Culinary Institute (MCI) regarding a potential national shortage of Velveeta cheese.
Senior correspondent and longtime South Florida broadcast journalist Kerry Sanders conducted a fun segment that featured a Velveeta dip prepared off camera by MCI chair, Chef Collen Engle. His dish combined tomatoes and spices to kick up the popular cheese several notches. Sanders and the NBC Network crew were thoroughly impressed with facility and hope to return soon.
