Miami Dade College InterAmerican Campus to Host International Children’s Day, July 20

Miami, July 10, 2014 - Miami Dade College’s (MDC) InterAmerican Campus will host a fun-filled day for the little ones during International Children’s Day, from 2 – 7 p.m., Sunday, July 20, as part of the XXIX International Hispanic Theatre Festival. Sponsored by Target and presented by Teatro Avante, this annual celebration of bilingual theater will bring the stage to life for kids and dazzle them with entertaining and engaging events. The event and activities are free and open to the public.    

The show-stopping fun will include a myriad of creative activities the whole family can enjoy, including arts and crafts, train rides, workshops for children in acting, dance, voice and music, and theatrical performances, among others.

Below is a list of scheduled events:

2 - 2:45 p.m. – Arts and crafts, rides, face painting, and distribution of combo meals

3 - 4:30 p.m. – Workshops in acting, dance, voice/music, painting, and puppetry

4:45 - 5:45 p.m. – Presentation by selected workshop participants

6 – 7 p.m. – Live Performance by Guyi Guyi
