Board of Trustees Approves College Budget, Including Salary Enhancement for MDC Personnel

MDC has distinguished itself as one of the nation's leading higher education institutions for one simple reason: the dedication of its people. Today, the Board of Trustees rewarded that effort by approving salary enhancements for College personnel as follows:

  • 4 percent salary increase for all full-time and most part-time administrative and support employees, with salary ranges for full-time and selected part-time grades increased by a similar amount;
  • Full-time employees in Grades 1-3 will be elevated to Grade 4 to address market competitiveness, while assuring a living wage for support employees. Affected employees will receive an increase of 4% or the minimum of Grade 4, whichever is greater; and
  • Where calculated increases would otherwise exceed the maximum salary for the assigned salary range, salary will be increased to the salary maximum of the range, and fifty percent of any remaining calculated salary increase will be provided in the form of a one-time payment, to be distributed by December 15, 2006.

The above salary increases will take effect on July 1. Should you have questions on the above, please contact Human Resources.

Rewarding the dedication of our personnel remains a top priority for MDC. Thank you for all that you do.

Eduardo
