MDC to Close Tuesday and Wednesday

Miami Dade College will close at the conclusion of classes tonight, and remain closed through Wednesday, August 30. Ernesto is expected to strengthen by the time it reaches South Florida. At present, the storm track indicates that South Florida may bear the brunt of the storm.

Campus personnel should implement emergency preparations. If you have questions regarding preparations, check with your supervisor.

Due to the storm, please take note of the following:

Payroll Time and Attendance Authorization: The deadline for the September 8 paycheck has been extended through Thursday, August 31.

Last Day to Drop Classes Has Been Extended: The last day to drop classes without penalty for the Fall semester has been extended until Thursday, August 31.

Safety is the top priority. Please take all necessary steps to ensure your safety and the safety of your family.
