Switchboard of Miami Offers Support to MDC

I write to remind you of a valuable service, one that can provide crucial support to you and your family and to our students.

Last year, MDC established a unique partnership with Switchboard of Miami. Switchboard has since provided a dedicated hotline number for the MDC community on a 24/7 basis, 365 days a year. For the past 36 years, Switchboard of Miami has been a pillar of the human services community, providing telephone crisis counseling, suicide prevention, and information and referral services for a wide range of social services to Miami-Dade County residents.

Services are offered in English, Spanish and Creole; assistance for the hearing impaired is also available.

Our students confront many obstacles that can interfere with their studies and disrupt their lives. We, too, are vulnerable to difficult times, and this service can provide support for everyone at MDC.
