MDC to Host Career Training Open House
Miami Dade College will host the 2007 Summer Open House at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 9, at all campuses. The event targets high school students, parents, and anyone interested in starting a new career. Each campus will award a $1,000 scholarship to be used toward in-state tuition, fees and textbooks during the upcoming Fall Term.
Open House attendees will have the opportunity to take campus tours and chat with faculty, administrators and current students about financial aid, student life and prospective majors. Information will be presented on more than 200 different areas of study, career training and community education programs for in-demand careers in film and entertainment, business, aviation, public safety, education, engineering, health care and more.
Current MDC students and others interested in medical careers should attend the Medical Center Campus Open House.
Thank you to the student services personnel at each campus for organizing this special event, filled with networking, information-sharing and career-building opportunities.
