Another Great Book Fair

The streets of downtown Miami are a little quieter today than in the past week, but the excitement from the Book Fair remains in the air.

From the successful Evenings With... Series and the launch of the Translation Market, to the art, music and literature at the International Pavilions, the educational workshops and the ever-popular Street Fair, the 2007 Book Fair was an event to remember.

I wish to extend thanks to all our Book Fair sponsors and the 1,245 volunteers from the College and the community, and to Alina Interián, executive director of the Florida Center for the Literary Arts, and Delia Lopez, director of operations for the Fair. Your hard work leaves an indelible mark on the heart of our community.
