College Ranked Nation's Top Producer of Associate Degrees for Sixth Consecutive Year

For the sixth consecutive year, Community College Week has named Miami Dade College the top producer of associate degrees in the United States.  I am pleased to note that MDC received number-one rankings in four additional categories of the magazine's 2008 "Top 100" report.

During the 2006-07 academic year, the College led the nation in:

  • number of associate degrees awarded to African-American students
  • number of associate degrees awarded to Hispanic students
  • number of associate degrees awarded in liberal arts, and
  • number of associate degrees awarded in nursing.

MDC is the perennial leader in degree conferrals and we can be proud to be part of an institution that has contributed to the personal and professional development of more students than any other in the country.

These top rankings are a direct reflection of the strength, ingenuity and dedication of our faculty, staff and students, and I commend you and thank you for the integral role you've played in the College's and our community's continued success.

Thank you.

Eduardo
