Tip of the Week
Get Checked Out
When beginning any workout routine, it is important to make sure that you consult your doctor. Let’s face it, most of us make the decision to work out after we’ve been out of the game for a while. And we usually decide to jump right in and run five miles or do two cardio classes back-to-back without even thinking about what that might do to our bodies.
It is important that you check with your doctor before you begin any exercise routine. A doctor can guide you in the right direction and also check for anything that might be a potential danger to you and your health.
The North Campus Aquatic and Fitness Center takes your health seriously and requires that you fill out a Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire (PAR-Q) before being allowed to work out in the facility. If you check "yes" to any of the questions, you will have to get a medical clearance form filled out by your physician.
Why take the risk? Talk to your doctor or physician.
