SAS Homestead Student Selected for MIT Summer Scholarship

Miami, June 1, 2012 - School for Advanced Studies Homestead rising senior Wilfredo Galdamez was recently accepted into the highly coveted MITES Program at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).

He will be spending six weeks this summer at MIT studying with MIT professors in Science and Engineering courses and living in the dorms on campus. MIT covers all expenses except transportation to and from Boston. SAS Principal Dr. Omar Monteagudo said that this is a phenomenal opportunity for Wilfredo and SAS is very proud of him for this accomplishment.

Miami Dade College is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges to award associate and baccalaureate degrees.
