Nicole Matamala

Miami, April 4, 2013 - Miami, April 4, 2013 - SAS Kendall senior Nicole Matamala has been selected by Cornell University as a Meinig National Scholar. Matamala was one of only 50 students nationwide to receive this prestigious award due to her distinguished academic record and the outstanding leadership skills she demonstrated in high school. Meinig Scholars are chosen based on their potential to become the undergraduate student leaders at this Ivy League school in Ithaca, New York.

Matamala will receive up to $4,000 annually in student loan replacement as well as $3,500 to support her participation in internships designed to expose her to other leadership opportunities.
