Institutional Departmental Credit-by-Exam
Students who have been admitted to the College may receive credit for courses through departmental examinations. Applications for this type of credit are available from the Registrar’s Office and must be approved first by the appropriate academic department. Subsequently, the registration must be completed at the Registrar’s Office and fees need to be paid by each term’s published deadline.
Credits for departmental examination are not included in any computation of credit load for full-time or part-time student status. Institutional credit-by-examination will become a part of the student’s permanent record at the conclusion of the term in which it is awarded. Grades of A, B, C or D will be assigned for college credits earned by examination and will be computed in the student’s GPA. A nonrefundable fee of $30 per credit will be charged for each examination administered.
