Campus Services Employee Recovering After Being Struck By A Vehicle At North Campus

Jose Garcia, who has worked at Miami Dade College for 42 years, was hit by a vehicle that was reversing in lot 16 at North Campus on Aug. 6. He is currently undergoing rehabilitation for his legs at HealthSouth in Broward County.

October 10 marks the one year mark since a garage collapse at MDC-West killed four construction workers. Although the garage’s completion status remains unknown, the campus has made strides in other areas.
