Despite being in the process of adjusting to a new country, Eirini Chatziefstratiadou, who is from Greece, is helping the Lady Sharks on the court, leading the Southern Conference with a .422 hitting percentage.
The Lady Sharks will count on sophomore guard Vernessa Hinnant, who averaged 9.1 points and 5.4 rebounds per game last year, to improve on last year’s record.
Darius Perkins, who led the Sharks in scoring last fall with a 18.8 average per game before he was ruled academically ineligible, hopes to give the team an offensive lift this year, as he returns.
