Welcome to the MDC Institute for Ethics in Health Care web site. This web site is designed to help increase awareness of ethical issues in the health care arena and provide educational resources.

The Institute for Ethics in Health Care was initially funded through FIPSE and the Hugoton Foundation. You will find The FIPSE executive summary on this web site. This project, Institute for Ethics in Healthcare, is sponsored in part by the Fund for the Improvement of Post  Secondary Education (FIPSE), U.S. Department of Education. The Institute for Ethics in Healthcare is also partially supported through a grant from the Hugoton Foundation. The Hugoton Foundation continues to fund the work of the Institute. A community advisory committee guides the work of the Institute. The membership and mission statement is located in the brochure section.

The web site contains many resources available for your use. The Ethics Primer is a power point presentation. The slides and notes may be downloaded and used for educational purposes. Please credit Miami Dade College in your presentation. The power point contains over 80 slides and is segmented into sections with learning objectives.

In addition, as you navigate the web site you will find research studies, case studies, and upcoming events. The web site is linked to various other sites involved in health care ethics.
