The North Campus Creative Arts Magazine
Axis Magazine

Axis is the award-winning magazine showcasing the creative talent of students on the North Campus of Miami Dade College. Only five years old, the magazine has received state and national recognition for outstanding art, photography, and design.

Axis supports student artists in a high quality learning environment encouraging originality and independent vision. Students acquire the skills and sensibilities to create, edit, design, illustrate, and publish individual artistic works. As well, they learn the publicity and business dimensions of magazine production.

Published once a year, Axis accepts submissions from students currently enrolled at the North Campus. Works are evaluated by a panel of student editors for each category: poetry, fiction, creative non-fiction, art, photography, illustration, and performance work. We accept English, Spanish, and French language submissions.

The submissions process runs from September through early December, with the selection process occurring during the Spring (January-April) term each year. We publish during the Summer term in time for Fall distribution.

We invite interested students to serve as staff members in editorial, publicity, and design positions.
