Senior Director of Campus Administration
Ms. Cristina Mateo is a seasoned administrator in higher education. She currently serves as the Campus Chief Operations Officer and Sr. Director of Campus Administration. She has served in various capacities at Miami Dade College since 1978, including Dean for Administration, Dean of Students and Administrative Services, Project Director, Assistant Dean, and Adjunct. Ms. Mateo holds a Master's degree in Educational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University, Baccalaureate degree in Business Administration from Barry University, and has completed her coursework towards a Doctorate degree in Organizational Leadership in Higher Education Administration from Nova Southeastern University. She is a proud alumna of Miami Dade College. Ms. Mateo is responsible for planning, implementing, supervising and evaluating campus-wide administrative services in the areas of budget management, facilities management, grant management, culinary operations, Public Safety, Campus Support Services, and resource development among other areas. She serves as the Campus Incident Crisis Management Commander. Throughout her tenure as a College Administrator she has represented the College and served on numerous advisory boards, community steering committees, and various organizations as a council member.
